My family and I purchased an existing home in Mooresville in 2022. It became apparent fairly quickly that the previous owners had failed to adequately care for the property, so it was no surprise that when we had the bad summer storms in 2023 that our roof was damaged. What was surprising was that no roofing company wanted to assist us with the insurance claim because it was a slam dunk until AJ with Urban Grind came along. AJ was very professional and extremely honest. AJ said that he thought insurance would cover our roof replacement, but he couldn't be absolutely sure until the claim was submitted. I was a little overwhelmed just thinking about having to submit everything to our homeowners' insurance company, but AJ was as calm as a cucumber. AJ said he would help us set up the insurance claim and make sure the insurance adjuster had everything he/she needed to make an informed decision and AJ did exactly what he promised to do, and our claim was accepted. AJ stayed in constant contact throughout the claims process, helped us select our new shingles (even came to the house on a Saturday because that was when everyone was available) and closely monitored the install. AJ kept us informed at every stage of the process. I never had to ask what's going on, when are you going to be done, nothing. It's never pleasant when your normal routine is disrupted but I have to say that AJ made the process as painless as he possibly could. It was a pleasure working with him and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I don't think you could go wrong selecting AJ and his crew to do a roof repair, replacement or original install. They were all consummate professionals who took pride in doing their job well.

Worked with AJ to submit a claim with my insurance for roof replacement due to hail damage after a storm. AJ was very courteous and professional throughout the entire process and worked diligently with the insurance company to get the claim approved. I'm happy with the new roof and the service provided in particular with AJ.

There was leak in my house’s roof. Called this company. AJ Read came the very next day found the issue and gave me a quote. Steve and Malcom came the next day and fixed the issue. They are very professional and honest people. While inspecting inside attic they accidentally broke the railing outside the attic entrance. AJ Read got it fixed with extreme professionalism and in time. I highly recommend this company to any roof work big or small.

Kain with Urban Grind Roofing collaborated with Cody at Propst Insulation to have insulation blown into the roof before the install. I requested insulation installed before installing the roof and Kain was more than willing to get his crew on board with the project. An amazing job on our new roof and interior leak water damage. What a team they bring. They knocked out the job very quickly and was extremely neat. You never knew they were there , all trash, nails etc picked up. The inside of the house looks terrific also. Highly recommend this group. Daniel Santana from UG was referred to us by my mother in law. The crew did an excellent job on their roof and we asked him to come look at our 22 year old roof. We suspected damage compounding from the last couple tropiical storms and 2024s hurricane that devastated so much of the East coast " Helene". Daniel did a thorough inspection of the entire structure. Followed by a collaborative inspection with the insurance agency inspector. He was an awesome advocate and we couldn't be happier. This contractor did a fantastic job, when you contracted with them from the very beginning to the end, there was nothing to worry about . The manager, George, is very much a professional guy and concerns all of the details that you do not know, and he will tell you everything you need and want to know. This person has very valuable characteristics and this is a good quality that is rare today. When you make a decision to work with them and you are totally relaxed, indeed, there is nothing you need to worry, any question if you have, the answer was quick, even came to your door to explain it. Schedule is on time and work crew, the team, are seriously treated your roof and your property made everything clean, and did a great job.
